
About this Event
In this OSHA Arc Flash training class, topics are focused on the prevention of arc-related electrical injuries and fatalities in the workplace.
Some of the key topics covered include: arc flash hazards and their causes, understanding the arc flash calculation (NFPA 70E and IEEE 1584), personal protective equipment (PPE) selection for arc-rated clothing and accessories, safe work practices and procedures (lockout/tagout, energized work permit), risk assessment and job planning, electrical safety training for personnel, arc rated equipment and materials, and post-incident procedures and investigations.
The goal of the training is to educate individuals on the importance of electrical safety and how to minimize the risk of arc flash exposure in the workplace.
