We're thrilled to invite you to the City of Longview's Arbor Day Tree Planting Event hosted by Longview Parks and Recreation's Urban Forestry Division. On April 9th at 10am, we'll be planting coastal redwood trees at the north end of Lake Sacajawea Park on Kessler Blvd just off of Ocean Beach Highway. This event isn't just about planting a tree; it's about fostering a greener, more sustainable future for our community. As we mark our 41st Year as a Tree City USA and our 5th Year as a Tree City of the World, we're immensely proud of our commitment to preserving and enhancing our urban forests. What better way to celebrate than by coming together as a community to plant a tree that will provide shade and beauty for generations to come?
Whether you're a seasoned tree enthusiast or simply passionate about making a positive impact in our community, we welcome you to join us! This event is open to the public and will also be streamed live on our Facebook Page, so you can participate virtually if you're unable to attend in person.
Let's make a difference together by planting a tree that will stand tall for years to come. See you there!
