Let’s celebrate the trees that make Texas beautiful! ? In honor of Texas Arbor Day, Sherman Parks & Recreation is teaming up with local experts to host a free, family-friendly festival full of learning, exploration, and fun.
At Arbor Day Festival, you’ll:
? Learn tree care tips and eco-friendly practices
? Discover biodiversity, composting methods, and more
? Connect with experts from the Bluestem Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist, Grayson County Texas Master Gardeners, and other partners
? Enter our raffle for a free tree at the Parks & Rec booth!
Why November? ?️ While most of the country celebrates Arbor Day in April, Texas trees thrive when planted in fall—the cooler weather helps them establish strong roots before summer heat.
