🌍 About Aravali Yatra

Aravali Yatra is a nature walk event organised by Save Aravali Trust from October to April. It allows participants to trek through the Aravalli forests and learn about the significance of this ancient mountain range. During these walks, we:

✅ Educate participants about the biodiversity of the Aravalli.

✅ Explain how these mountains act as the lungs of Delhi-NCR.

✅ Highlight the threats of deforestation, mining, and urbanisation.

✅ Encourage people to take small but meaningful steps for conservation.

The Aravali Yatra is not just a trek but a movement to spread awareness, build a connection with nature, and inspire action for protecting our environment.

🚶 What to Expect?

🌳 A 4 KM guided forest trek through the scenic Aravalli.

🌎 Interesting discussions on biodiversity & environmental challenges.

💆‍♂️ A refreshing and peaceful outdoor experience.

♻️ A strict Leave No Trace policy – no littering allowed.

⚠️ Important Guidelines

✅ Open to all age groups (4+ years).

✅ Wear sports/trekking shoes and full-length trousers/jeans.

✅ Carry water in reusable bottles and homemade or plastic-free food/snacks.

❌ Loud music, smoking, and alcohol are strictly not allowed.

❌ Going near the lake or swimming is prohibited.

🐾 Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.

🌿 A Special Appeal – Walk for a Cause

For the first time, we are introducing a small registration fee for Aravali Yatra. This decision wasn’t easy, but it became necessary. For years, we have been restoring native forests, creating water bodies, and reviving the Aravalli—all through volunteer efforts and donations. But now, due to a severe fund shortage, we have been forced to limit our plantation and conservation activities. As of today, we have almost no funds for the next plantation season.
