Arabia Alliance Reads: Civil Sights with Gene Kansas

For Black History Month, Arabia Reads is excited to bring Gene Kansas to the National Heritage Area. Preservationist and developer Gene Kansas will dive into the world of Civil Rights history and architecture in his book Civil Sights, which focuses on the Sweet Auburn district. Following this, Kansas will lead a short Walk & Talk through Lithonia's own Civil Rights history on Wiggins Street.

Copies of Civil Sights-Sweet Auburn: A Historic Journey Through Atlanta's National Treasure will be available for purchase at the event.
