About this Event
Dust off the old family albums! Staff from the Arabia Alliance and the DeKalb History Center are looking for rare, vintage and historic images this Black History Month, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Arabia Alliance is compiling a photographic history of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area. We’re looking for historic images of daily life and work in Lithonia, Conyers, Covington, Arabia, Stone and Panola Mountains and the quarrying industry, Bruce Street, Flat Rock, Lyon/Lyons Farm and the Klondike Corridor to include in an upcoming book to be published as part of Arcadia Publishing’s bestselling Images of America series.
Have vintage photos, postcards or maps of local history? Then please bring your images to the DeKalb History Center at 101 E Court Square, Decatur, GA 30030 and we’ll scan them that day!
Can’t make it that day but have cool historic photos? No worries! Reach out to Communications Manager Jeff Dingler at [email protected].
