Aquelarre Returns on the 15th of March!After a two-year hiatus, Aquelarre is back with a brand-new venue: the Leith Cricket Club.
This time, we’re thrilled to present Eyes of Others, the studio alias of Edinburgh-based John Bryden, a self-christened ‘post-pub couldn’t get in the club’ producer.
To try and list all Eyes of Others’ musical touch points would be a thankless task, but nestled playfully – and seductively – in his sonic palette are an abundance of carefree electronics, hypnotic dub, wry folk rock, twitchy psychedelia, and buoyant acid techno. In other words, pure musical freedom.
Kicking off the evening, we’re proud to welcome Don Francisco, the new side project of Pako Vega. Making his UK debut, Don Francisco will perform live, blending power electronics, avant-garde sounds, no-wave, and electro for a spellbinding opening set.
Closing the night, Sounds Of Ogigia’s head-honcho, Pako Vega, will take to the decks. He will deliver a DJ set packed with wonky, psychedelic vibes. Expect everything from disco oddities to punk dance, acid house, and beyond.
