Aquarius 2025 California Exhibition is a premiere juried show presented by Central Coast Watercolor Society. The exhibit runs Feb. 20 – Mar. 31 at Art Center Morro Bay. This annual exhibition features excellence in watermedia painting, from traditional to experimental, and encourages appreciation for watermedia painting as a vital, enduring, and expressive art form.

2025 Juror of Selection & Awards: Keiko Tanabe
Keiko Tanabe embarked on a professional art career and began exhibiting publicly in 2005. In that year, she also took a workshop from Alvaro Castagnet, which introduced her to the joy of plein air painting. Since then her paintings have been juried into many exhibitions worldwide. Her work is held in private and corporate collections, and has been published in leading art magazines as well as nine books and four DVDs.
Since 2011, she has led hundreds of workshops and numerous live demonstrations. She has also served as juror for the following art exhibitions:
* National Watercolor Society
* Watercolor USA Honor Society
* Transparent Watercolor Society of America
* Watercolor West
* Splash 22
* International Watercolour Masters
* San Diego Museum of Art’s Artists Guild
In 2015, Tanabe was named an official Ambassador for Winsor & Newton, and in 2018 she was appointed to the advisory board of the American Watercolor Weekly. She served in 2018-19 as faculty for the Plein Air Convention & Expo, the world’s largest plein air painting event. Since 2021, she has been an Official Savoir-Faire, Sennelier, Cretacolor, Fabriano & Raphael Advocate. In 2022 Keiko was appointed an Escoda International Brand Ambassador.
