Under the direction of GTA Ninfa Garcia, Carlos Martinez, Perignon Espinosa, Trino Jimenez and Director of Bands John Schnettler, the Austin Peay Department of Music is proud to announce that on Sunday, April 6th, at 3:00 PM, the APSU Latin Ensemble will make its debut in the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall! The first of its kind, the ensemble, conceived by Carlos Martinez and Perignon Espinosa, was made with the intention of celebrating and performing music from Latin America and the Caribbean. The group is a collaboration of attending students, faculty, department studios, and community members. Expect to hear salsa, banda, cumbia, danzon, and other styles, as our repertoire comes some of the most recognized and decorated artists in Latin America!
