Rooted In Placewith Meketta, a local herbalist 🌿 @makeda.medicina
Meketta is inspired by the intersection of plants and people. She loves learning about the many plant friends around us, while gaining an understanding of how indigenous communities engage with the land. She is inspired to share herbal knowledge and envisions a future with an herbalist in every household.
During our time together, we’ll learn to identify what’s growing on the land in this late winter season. Everyone will walk away knowing how to identify a few of the native plants in the area, learn of their properties, as well as some historical uses.
As a group, we’ll forage some of what’s growing on the land and create an herbal preparation to take home and share with loved ones. 🌾
