About this Event
ur Salsa (Level 1) program is a series of beginner-friendly classes designed to prepare participants for social dancing. No partner or previous dance expereince is required.
Participants gain a foundation by acquiring knowledge and practice in basic steps, timing, coordination, dance positions, transitions, turns-in-place, traveling turns, and partner-work sequences.
Typically, new participants spend an average of 4-6 months before qualifying for Salsa (Level 2).
NJ Salsa hosts the Latin Room at Lobby on Tuesdays starting at 9:30pm. Many participants choose to stay after class to experience our Latin nightlife. There's no additional cost for our nightlife and it allows for participants to apply the lessons from class on the dance floor.
