This month’s event is at a new venue. We’re excited to be working with The Well Coffee Lounge in Boscombe. A community cafe for our community event 🙌 If all goes well, we’re hoping for more events here in 2025.
Repair Cafes are free to attend though donations are very welcome. There is no need to book but if you already know what broken items you are going to bring along you can send us a message via our Bournemouth Repair Café Facebook page or email us [email protected].
At each event our friendly volunteer Hosts are on hand to welcome members of the public to the Repair Café. The customer will be matched with an expert Fixer who will talk them through the problem and hopefully fix the broken item.
If the event is very busy customers will be guided to a waiting area where they can buy hot and cold drinks and cakes.
Bournemouth Repair Café has continued to expand in scope, recruiting more volunteers and fixing more items. We mainly deal with household electrical appliances like kettles, lamps, electric tools, hairdryers etc, but have also given many items of clothing a new lease of life. In addition, we have also mended miscellaneous items of furniture and ornaments.
