About this Event
Paint to Express (PTE) workshops are a free event that we host each month to provide our community with a safe space to express themselves creatively. Although all are welcome, this is a Black, Indigenous, and People of Color centered workshop, as safe spaces to express ourselves are not always available. This space is for you to show up as you are and be your authentic self.
We encourage folks to paint what they like and engage in conversation with fellow painters. MTM provides free painting supplies, snacks, music, and vibes. No experience necessary!
For our fourth workshop in the series, we welcome U of M faculty and staff to come paint with us!
We know that spaces for rejuvenation and rest are few and far between for the educators and caretakers of our students, so we wanted to do something special for you. This workshop will be the first in the series to feature a hand crafted charcuterie spread and wine, provided free of charge to people over the age of 21. Come create and unwind after a semester of hard work and labor. You deserve it!
*This Paint to Express workshop is part of Memorialize the Movement's Community Creates series funded by the U of M Engagement Hub. Our goal with this 12 month long series is to bridge the gap between college students and local organizers, creating an authentic experience for students to learn about the people making a difference in their communities around the Twin Cities and be exposed to new ways of thinking about social justice and activism.*
