April Meetup: Basics of Propagating Perennial PlantsBuying trees, shrubs and wildflowers for your home garden or food forest can get expensive very quickly. Although it is important to support local and permaculture-type nurseries, it is also important to develop the skills to have your own small backyard nursery to expand your impact. This month we will be going over some of the main methods to propagate perennial plants including: seeds, division, layering, cuttings and grafting. We will have materials on hand for the chance to give it a try yourself and take home a potted cutting or grafted tree (for a small donation to cover materials).
