Join us at the bookstore on First Friday (4/4 from 10am-8pm) and Secondhand Saturday (4/5 from 10am-5pm) for:- USED BOOK SALE! Buy any two used books, get another used book for free! (This sale applies to all used books in the shop, excluding glass case items.) Opting for secondhand over new books lessens the demand for new book production, therefore making it a great way to help reduce deforestation and conserve the natural resources that are necessary to produce new books. Choosing a used book also prolongs the lifespan of each book already in existence, keeping them on bookshelves and out of landfills. (See, your book-buying habit really is saving the planet!) We’ve got a well-rounded and always-changing selection of secondhand books in all major genres (roughly 75% of the books on our shelves are used!) so swing by to see what you can find!
- POP-UP VINTAGE SHOP! Shop vintage and secondhand clothing in a variety of styles, sizes, and decades from local pop-up vintage shop Alma at the Party! The fashion industry is responsible for producing ~10% of the globe’s carbon emissions (that’s more than the entire European Union!), is both the second-largest consumer AND polluter of water (responsible for about 20% of wastewater pollution worldwide), and sends roughly 85% of all textiles to landfills every year, making it one of the most wasteful and environmentally destructive industries on the planet.
