đ 2025 Great Fitchburg City Cleanup Join us to clean our streets and parks of litter and debris. Please bring friends with work gloves and a helping hand. We provide bags, Plastic gloves and disposal.
City Cleanups and Events are 8AM - 12PM at the following locations:
đ April 19th - volunteers meet @ lot High/Pleasant Streets.
đ April 20th at 9am: - Riverfront Park Cleanup & Invasives Pull
đ April 26th: volunteers meet @ Daniels St. Park
đ May 3rd: Volunteers meet @ 44 Wanoosnoc Rd.
đ May 10th: Volunteers meet @ BAC/stanley park, 1 Simonds Rd
Coffee, donuts, a light lunch and refreshments provided by The Salvation Army Fitchburg
**LED and CRT-TVâs and monitors will be accepted with a $10 fee**
**Mattresses & Boxsprings will be accepted with a $20 fee each**

Street Sweepers out â sweep sand onto street for pickup â not in large piles.
Keep Fitchburg Beautiful Volunteers will be supporting the city during it's officially sponsored City Cleanup days.
Saturday April 26th, 2025 from 8am-12pm is a Ward 2 & 3 focus.
SUGGESTED STREETS FOR CLEANUP: (alphabetical order)
Allen Place (particularly around 50 Allen Place)
Ashburnham St to Phillips St
Cleghorn St - Trash and also W**d overgrowth---could use W**d wacker and shovel
Depot St bottom near bridge
Fairmont St from Fire Station up to Reingold School
Federal St
Franklin Road between Causeway St (Memorial) to Beech St
Franklin St at Rollstone St (Banking between Franklin and Kimball)
Fulton St at Leighton St (empty lot filled with litter)
Princeton Rd. going toward Rt. 2
River St.
Westminster St. toward Monty Tech.
Meet/Park along the street at Daniels St Park at Daniels & Fairmount St, in front of the Daniels St Park.
All are encouraged to join and help.
Dumpsters will be available at each location for bulk items and non-residential trash found throughout the ward.
DPW staff will be available to aide in picking up large items that volunteers are unable to bring to the transfer sites, as well as curbside trash bags from large neighborhood clean ups.
City personnel will be available at each transfer site to assist with the disposal.
The Health Department will supply yellow trash bags, and gloves at each event.
