Hello, I am Grandmother Sunder Devi. I am a traditional teacher.History of the Sanctuary of the Red Drum Carriers
Women have been known as healers and mystics in many different cultures around the world for centuries.
For me personally, using a drum is a big part of my spiritual practice and creative expression, in my Goddess and journey work.
During my apprenticeship in the USA, I made my first Traditional Drum with the Native People.
I am so grateful for the doors that opened for me during this time.
It was like I had an awakening to all the memories I needed to make a Red Drum, without being given any instructions, which of course, I needed to bring my dream to fruition.
At the time I was teaching Tantra in Australia and Europe, I found that I was also remembering living in India.
Part of an apprenticeship entails learning how to use the herbs required to make the special Red colouring and how to own a Red Drum .
Once we had completed our Red Drums, we were asked to journey to connect with the Goddess of the Drum.
This was my initial intention, however, my entire journey was in red.
My Guides were red, the landscape was red, and when I saw a red drum placed into my hands, I knew that I was to make a red drum and that the colour Red was the symbol.
The colour red symbolises the divine feminine, birth, death, and re-birth.
Each of these stages of the Divine Feminine life is painted on the walls of caves using earth ochre.
Being a carrier of the sacred symbols is deeply connected to the feminine essence.
Since that time, I have been sharing the creation of the Red Drum with hundreds of women all over the world through my own hands-on workshops and training other Red Drum leaders located all over Australia .

Learning about the ceremony of the Red Drum from Grandmother Sunder will test your skills in more ways than one.
You will learn techniques for a meaningful rite of passage through the teachings of the Medicine Drum, Shamanic Journeying, sweat lodge, pipe ceremony and traditional Tipi teachings.
This is a very powerful 1-day workshop located in a beautiful woodland setting.
