Join Pikes Peak Library District as we welcome author and cartoonist Jonathan Case to discuss his book Little Monarchs, a 2025 All Pikes Peak Reads selection. Eisner-winner Jonathan Case, author/artist of the graphic novel Little Monarchs, will take readers inside an exploration of nature, science, and the value of connecting to our world through creativity. Participants will see into the process of making a graphic novel, including a live drawing demonstration. Little Monarchs is a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selection, and was honored as a best book of the year from NPR, Booklist, Publishers Weekly, and the New York, San Francisco, and Seattle Public Libraries. It also represented Jonathan’s home state of Oregon at the 2022 National Book Festival.
Following the address, Case will do an audience Q&A session and will be available for book signing. Copies of Little Monarchs will be available to purchase from Poor Richard's Bookstore during the event. Registration is suggested, but not required at ppld.librarymarket.com/event/copy-copy-draft-appr-author-499695
