ASIST is a powerful, interactive training for anyone 16+ who wants to feel more confident helping someone who may be thinking about suicide.Whether you’re a parent, educator, coach, faith leader, healthcare worker, or community member, ASIST teaches you how to recognize when someone is at risk and how to respond in a way that can save a life.
Through real-world scenarios, small-group practice, and engaging video content, you’ll learn how to provide suicide first aid and support someone through a crisis.
What you’ll learn
✔ How to recognize signs that someone may be thinking about suicide
✔ How to have supportive, life-saving conversations
✔ How to work with someone to create a personalized SafePlan
✔ How to connect people to ongoing help and resources
✔ How attitudes and stigma can impact whether someone seeks help
Class format
This is a two-day, in-person training with interactive discussion and skills practice. Attendance for both full days is required.
