Keynote - Magical moments and cringe-worthy calamities: Reflections on building a sport psychology business (Dr Josephine Perry, Performance in Mind; CSS LT2)
On January 2nd 2016, Josephine Perry launched Performance in Mind. It was a soft launch because Josephine had zero idea what she was doing and didn’t want to flag that to too many people! On that same date, she also began her QSEP Stage 2 training with the BPS and started IVF treatment. It was a big day! Eight years on, Josephine is fully qualified as a Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist, runs a thriving business and, as the IVF worked, attempts to run Performance in Mind in harmony with family life. Josephine will talk through the processes she used to build up her business, the development of her “brand”, 10 lessons she learnt along the way, and what she would do differently now if she was just starting out.
