Celebrate Boulder’s apple abundance with Community Fruit Rescue and Benevolence Orchard & Gardens! This gathering celebrates the hands and hearts behind Boulder’s fruit — from orchard caretakers and tree stewards to community harvesters who make abundance accessible to all.
Enjoy an apple-themed potluck* (bring your dish by 2:30 PM), cider pressing, live music, yard games, and apple crafts for all ages.
This event will take place outdoors in the beautiful orchard and farmstand area. Bring a blanket or chairs for picnic-style seating, your own beverages, and enjoy samples of Benevolence’s hard cider on tap.
At 3:00 PM, join a short talk with the AppleFest hosts as we celebrate community and the fruit that connects us.
Free & open to the public with a suggested donation of $5/child and $15/adult which will support the shared work of CFR & Benevolence. Attendance is required and capped at 100 people -- please register in advance and carpool if you can. Parking will be limited and may be located in two locations at Benevolence, so be prepared to potentially have to walk uphill.
*Wondering what to bring to the potluck? Anything you’d like — especially if it features apples! Sweet or savory, we can’t wait to taste your creations. Please include an ingredient list so guests know what’s inside. We’ll have index cards available, or feel free to bring your own. If you are bringing food, please bring it by 2:30pm so we can have it ready to share.
