October is peak apple season in Maryland, with orchardists around the state growing more than 20 different apple varieties. Join Maryland's Best at the Central Library for a family-friendly morning of recipe sharing, storytime, crafting for adults and kids, and samples of local apple varieties and cider.
From 11am-12pm, local Master Gardeners from Filbert Street Garden will also be sharing ways to preserve seasonal crops such as apples to make them last all year.
