The autumn Hawarden Old Castle open day will take place at 10am to 3pm on Saturday 25th October 2025.Access the Old Castle from the big blue gates opposite The Glynne Arms in the centre of Hawarden village, or from the entrance at Hawarden Estate Farm Shop.
The Old Castle is a nationally important, Grade I listed monument, which is only open for a handful of days each year. Explore this historic site and take in breathtaking views across Hawarden Estate, North Wales and the Cheshire Plains.
PLUS! Join us for apple day with plenty of activities for children, plus live music and food from the fire, all at the Farm Shop.
Pay for your ticket via the website, or pay on the gates on the day!
All proceeds go to a local charity chosen by our team.
All children must be accompanied. Paths up to the castle are steep and uneven. Dogs are welcome on leads.
