In Appalachia we take care of our own, and in the wake of Hurricane Helene Shepherd University and the surrounding community is united to do our part to help those affected. Join us on Friday, November 15th at 7 pm in the Frank Arts Center Theater for an unforgettable concert experience that highlights the music, culture and beauty of Appalachia. The purpose of this event is to raise funds and collect items to help in the rebuilding process. There are still homes with large trees on top of them in West Virginia, and The New River, where it spans Southern WV and Southwestern VA flooded out entire neighborhoods. There are many great organizations working on the ground and delivering aid. We’ve selected two of them for which we will raise the funds and collect the items. See the links below, and for more information, they will be highlighted individually in the discussion thread.https://www.appalachiafunders.org/ will receive half of the monetary donations we collect
https://www.wvvoad.org/ will receive half of the monetary donations we collect and is seeking the following items:
