About this Event
We are the Appalachian Mountain Club, an organization committed to conservation and recreation in the outdoors. Please join our New York-North Jersey Chapter for our annual 20s and 30s "Young Members" Winter Weekend trip!
**IMPORTANT NOTE: In addition to buying your ticket here, please be sure to register for this activity on the AMC's website, Outdoors.org, and sign the electronic waiver!
We will be heading up to the Hostel Tevere in Warren, Vermont to enjoy skiing at nearby Sugarbush Resort as well as other winter outdoor activities in the area including hiking, snowshoeing, sightseeing and more.
This trip is perfect for both new and longtime members -- meet new friends and catch up with old ones. (while an AMC membership is not required to attend any club trips, including this trip, we encourage you to become a member to promote the club's conservation mission).
A few important points:
- Purchasing a ticket covers lodging only. We expect to host at least one group dinner, and food is often available at each activity (e.g. at the ski resort), but otherwise please feel free to purchase/arrange your own food, snacks and beverages, especially if you are hiking/snowshoeing and will need a bag lunch.
- We expect the weather to be quite cold, so please be sure to pack appropriately for the weather, including winter clothing, layers, and any equipment you may need for your desired activities (ski rentals are available at the mountain).
- We expect to carpool to our destination, so please indicate if you are able to give rides, especially from the greater NYC area. Limited rail transportation is also available to Waterbury/Stowe -- please advise if this is your only transportation option.
Please contact John Perilli at [email protected] if you have any questions.
