Are you curious about the wonders of nature? Want to learn more about the ecosystems in the Appalachian region? This in-person class is perfect for beginners interested in ecology. This course is free to the public, and will provide a core class credit for anyone who is interested in the Master Naturalist certification program. This class will provide the groundwork to build you ecological knowledge, it will be lecture style- indoors with a walk outdoors at the end of the course weather permitting. This course is taught by wildlife biologist Merri Collins, PhD, Appalachian Headwaters Director of Ecology. Bring a snack, a notebook, and come ready to learn!
