About this Event

**IMPORTANT NOTE – Due to the ongoing COVID-19 health concerns, this intensive will be offered online with lessons, materials, containers and herbs mailed out to enrolled students. This will be followed with a live interactive training session with instructors.

REGISTRATION IS 'FIRST COME FIRST SERVE'. This course is open to 40 students and is offered once a year.

WHAT IS THE MULTI-FRACTIONAL HERBAL EXTRACT ADVANCED INTENSIVE?

This is 24 hours of online intensive materials for students to have even greater depth of training in certain specialty areas, followed by a live interaction session with instructors. These are designed for apothecarists that would like to create a product line, specialize in a certain area of herbal preparations, or to set up a home apothecary. The intensive will have advanced materials not covered in the main online 12-week internal course. The Internal Medicine online is recommended before doing the Advanced Multi-Fractional Extract intensive.* * * *

Multi-Fractional Extracts: Learn hands-on processes for working with multiple solvents, heat and distillation of botanicals in this advanced medicine making course.  Students work with water, glycerine, alcohol & vinegar extractions in various cycles. Enrolled students will receive an herbal care package of herbs, product materials and supplies and containers mailed to them.

During the advanced intensive, students will get hands-on training with:

  • basic field techniques for extracting mineral essences & components from the ash of a plant
  • different methods of tincture distillation
  • solubility concepts
  • vitalistic & energetic history in herbalism
  • separating/purifying using distillation methods
  • Decoction methods
  • Alcohol percolations and washes
  • Glycerine extraction
  • Vinegar extraction
  • Tincture distillation

Who is this for? These online intensives are for anyone who wants advanced herbal medicine-making skills for home or business.  Explore potency, flavor, taste, creative passion and clinical expertise to take your medicine-making skills to a brand-new level with exciting techniques and skills. For those of you who have not been able to attend attend our information-packed intensives because of travel or work restrictions, now is the time!


COURSE INFORMATION

Dates: Medicine making course materials will be mailed out on July 10th, 2023 with a live interactive session to be scheduled with students and instructors. Students will have 90 days of access to the materials.

Location: You can participate in this course from anywhere you have an internet connection!

International Shipping: There are additional costs involved with shipping course materials outside of the US. If you are located outside of the US, so we can help you with shipping arrangements. We offer shipping within Canada and Mexico only. (APO and AE addresses are not eligible.) International students are responsible for the expense of shipping their own course materials.
