The Aphasia Support Group is intended to promote and enhance communication skills within a community setting and to connect others with similar experiences.• Promote communication with family and community
• Assist family members and other communication partners in understanding their loved one's frustrations, strengths, and limitations.
• Establish a sense of community with others who are experiencing a similar condition
• Learn about adaptive skills, new research, technology, and resources
Open to survivors of a stroke, individuals with fronto-temporal dementia, or those with primary progressive aphasia, and/or apraxia.
• Provides opportunities for learning
• Strengthens dignity and self-worth
• Provides support to renew hope
Group meets the first Tuesday of every month from 5 - 6 PM.
