Happening Labor Day, September 1st, 2025, at Riviera Beach Marina in Palm Beach County, FL, this lionfish derby brings together divers of all levels for a single day of competition, conservation, and community.Lionfish are one of the biggest threats to Florida’s reefs, and we’re not taking a day off from the fight. Join us in removing these invasive predators while competing for cash prizes, gear giveaways, and ultimate bragging rights!
How It Works:
🦁 Participants will board one of two dive boats and head to designated dive sites.
🎯 Teams of two will compete to remove as many lionfish as possible during a two-tank dive.
🏆 Prizes will be awarded for the most, largest, and smallest lionfish caught.
🎁 Every diver will receive an exclusive Apex Predator Labor Day Lockdown challenge coin and a straw sun hat with a lionfish under brim design
