Hi all!Again, we will be meeting at the Hancock Recreation Center, 811 E 41st St, Austin 78751 for our January clay meeting. For January, the class will be held on the 8th. The meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
The class is free but we require an RSVP. If we do not get enough RSVP's the class will be canceled.
We will be using molds to create cabochons. I will have a few other molds there if you wish to use them instead. We will also give ideas on what you can do with your cabochons. (See picture)
We will supply the clay you will need for this class but bring your tools. Also, we will not be able to cure the clay at the rec center.
Supplies for class:
- Various canes (supplied but bring your own if you like)
- scrap clay for filling in the cabochon (supplied)
- work surface
- acrylic roller
- clay blade (or other cutter)
- something to transport uncured clay (3x5 cards will be supplied)
- wipes for clean up
Optional supplies for class:
- pasta machine
- texture sheets
- deli sheets
- reading glasses
Supplies for home:
- oven for curing the clay
- sealer (e.g. Future floor polish, Wax, etc.)
Even if you don't have any of the supplies, we will make it work. But include what you need to use in your RSVP.
