Wellington City Council, in support of the Wellington RSA, is proud to present the Wellington Citizens’ Wreath Laying Service on Anzac Day 2025. This event will offer various dignitaries, guests, and citizen groups the opportunity to remember the ANZACs from WWI, honour our fallen, and pay respects to our past and present service personnel.
Wellington’s Citizens’ Wreath Laying Service includes performances from a military and pipe band, conducted by Sergeant Rick Henderson, joined by the Aotearoa Academy Choir.
Members of the public are welcome to pay their respects at the cenotaph monument after the service ends (approx. 10am).
This event will happen in rain or shine. The wet weather venue will be the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul (cnr Hill and Molesworth Streets). An update will be posted to this page before 8am on Friday 25 April.
