What: Community Tampa Bay will provide students with a feel for what they can expect at ANYTOWN® through in-person presentation. During our visit, we lead students through an activity or brief workshop on topics that can range from community building, belonging vs. fitting in, turning disagreements into dialogue, how to lead with empathy and curiosity, finding common ground, better understanding our social identities, and so much more.

Community Tampa Bay invites current high school students (14-18) to participate in the ANYTOWN® program, a weeklong, residential (Monday through Friday) camp hosted at Eckerd College. Since 1991, a diverse group of 60 teens, from across the Tampa Bay area, come together to engage in meaningful dialogue and cross-cultural interactions in the pursuit of breaking down prejudices, stereotypes, biases, discrimination, and hate. That's 35 years of data-driven diversity education, inclusive leadership building, and empowering young people to create safe spaces in their schools and communities.
