Gretchen Arguedas, LPC, will explore why anxiety peaks during the teen years and how today’s pressures surrounding testing, academic performance, and college expectations can intensify it. Gretchen will help teens and parents understand what’s happening during anxious moments and how to develop regulation skills. She’ll share simple, practical strategies for calming the nervous system, shifting out of unhelpful thought patterns, and connecting with personal values that support resilience and confidence. Participants will walk away with tools they can use immediately and a clear sense of how counseling can support teens in feeling steadier, more capable, and more aligned with who they want to be.
