Anwaar ul Haq Kakar is Prime Minister of Pakistan. He was appointed in August following the dissolution of the National Assembly, and he will continue to act in a caretaker capacity until elections are held and a new government is formed. Kakar was Spokesperson of the Government of Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province by land area, from 2015 to 2018. He is cofounder of the Balochistan Awami Party and was elected to the Senate of Pakistan in 2018, serving until his appointment as interim Prime Minister.Have the opportunity to hear Mr Kakar’s address at the Oxford Union on the 26th of September at 2:00 pm.
