ANVIL
Anvil is a Canadian heavy metal band formed in 1978. They are known for their influential albums in the early 1980s and their perseverance in the metal scene despite struggling with commercial visibility and label support. Anvil’s persistence and resilience were famously chronicled in the 2008 documentary “Anvil! The Story of Anvil,” directed by Sacha Gervasi, briging renewed acclaim and popularity to the band.
DON JAMIESON
Don is currently co-hosting VH1 Classic’s hit heavy metal talk show series, “That Metal Show.” The program is a round-table talk show where legends of rock hang out and discuss their past and current projects in front of a live studio audience full of metal maniacs. Rolling Stone Magazine just dubbed “That Metal Show” one of the 50 Best Reasons To Watch TVl!
Amongst his many accomplishments, comedian Don Jamieson’s proudest moment is becoming an "Emmy Award-Winner" for his work on HBO's "Inside The NFL." Don and long-time comedy partner, Jim Florentine, lent their brand of humor to the popular sports show; writing, producing and performing sports-themed comedy sketches.
The two have also collaborated on the hidden-camera DVD and ComedyCentral.com series, "Meet The Creeps" as well as a series of prank call CD's, "Terrorizing Telemarketers," which get a lot of airplay on the Howard Stern Radio Show. Speaking of which, Don has been a featured “Roaster” on Howard’s “Staff Roasts” (he is also a roast joke writer for the country’s best celebrity roaster, Lisa Lampanelli) and has lent his voice to MTV2’s “Crank Yankers.”
Don's stand-up act brings his everyday take on life, the hip, the cool and the tragically sublime into the spotlight. Besides performing at clubs in New York City, Don tears it up at clubs and theatres all over the country. For the last four years, he has been the regular opener for Andrew Dice Clay. His reputation as one of New York City's top comics was cemented when he was asked to perform live on ABC's Good Morning America.
Don started his career as one of the young and talented comedy minds at MTV helping to launch the careers of comics like Jon Stewart, Kevin James, Pauly Shore (sorry) and Tom Green, But unbeknownst to many, Don was spending his nights on the local comedy scene developing his own comic style.
Making the transition from comedian to television host isn't easy for most. Don has hosted his own series, OLN's "Beach Ambush," and is currently in production for the third season of VH1 Classic’s, “That Metal Show.”
MIDNITE HELLION
Heavy Metal Rock 'n Roll - MIDNITE HELLION does it best. Formed by drummer Drew Rizzo and combined with bassist and vocalist Rich Kubik, they create the power to amplify every town. Their distinctive style – classic, no-frills heavy metal serving tremendously infectious spurts of thrash riffs with a straight, fun stage attitude – made the guys a top pick for world-class acts to ignite their respective crowds. Bringing their strong regional fan base to the table, MIDNITE HELLION shared the stages with OverKill, Dirkschneider, Grim Reaper, Flotsam & Jetsam, Obituary, Diamond Head, Raven, Exodus, Yngwie Malmsteen, and many more.
Their electrifying debut album Condemned to Hell (2017) proved to be just the kind of wrecking ball that the band needed. Picked up and widely spread by multiple Marconi award holder WSOU 89.5 FM, the album successfully leveled a solid path into the wider US metal scene. In less than a year, Condemned To Hell became a national phenomenon – and so did MIDNITE HELLION as a touring act, spawning intense mosh pits left, right, and center. The touring cycle in support of the album peaked in late 2018 when the band shared stages with OTEP and THE WORLD OVER in the Midwest and Mountain regions of the United States.
Fueled by the sheer awesomeness of their fans and the energy received from this crowd, and driven by a bag of new songs and ideas that they brought back home, MIDNITE HELLION entered Pyramid Sound Studios in Ithaca, NY in August 2019. The recording of their second album Kingdom Immortal took them only six days with the help of iconic producer Alex Perialas, who in the past contributed to shaping the signature thrash sound of Anthrax/S.O.D, OverKill or Testament, while also adding a pound or two to Joe Bonamassa’s music.
Mixing took place in March and Mastering in May 2021, before the vinyl mastering got cut at Infrasonic Sound by Daniel Bacigalupi (Barry Gibb, Dolly Parton, Stray Cats, Willie Nelson).
Kingdom Immortal became successful with radio stations in the United States from the get-go, landing within the top 5 added albums on radio throughout the nation.
As a result, MIDNITE HELLION toured the US with Anvil in summer 2022 for 39 dates, supporting the album, followed by a second US leg with Anvil for an additional 25 dates in spring 2023.
Set out for the first world-wide release including Europe, MIDNITE HELLION will hit the road for an extensive US + Canada tour with German metal machine U.D.O. later in 2024. The blast from the past is far from over!
