The 2025 Great Tomato Plant Sale (GTPS) will be offered on six days in April and at three areas of Contra Costa County: Central county in Walnut Creek (April 5, 6, 9 & 16), East County in Antioch (April 12), and West County in Richmond (April 19). All plants $4, payable at each sale location by cash, check, or bank card.
The Master Gardener volunteers are preparing 75+ varieties of tomatoes plus peppers, eggplants, squash, cucumbers, herbs, leafy greens, and more!
The Antioch GTPS will feature tomato and vegetable varieties that are particularly suited to the growing conditions found in East Contra Costa County, as well as throughout the county.
Location: Rivertown Demonstration Garden behind the big red barn at the Contra Costa Event Park, 1201 West 10th Street in Antioch, California
Hours of the one-day-only sale are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
ALL PLANT VARIETIES offered at the GTPS are carefully curated, sown, and cared for by your Contra Costa County Master Gardener volunteers. There will be MANY rare varieties offered!
This is our annual fundraiser, and we aim to sell out! ALL PLANTS are priced at $4 per plant (and that includes $4 per six-pack of beans).
