Each year, the Norwich Historical Society hosts our most popular event: The Antient Ghosts of Norwich which is an evening guided tour through the Colonial Burying Ground in Norwichtown. The Antient Ghosts of Norwich tour is a part of the Last Green Valley’s annual Walktober celebration.
As dusk approaches, guides escort visitors on a winding path, lit by flickering luminarias through the Burying Ground where visitors hear spooky tales and historical facts related to the history of Norwich. As visitors walk through the Burying Ground, they’ll meet some friendly spirits who have a story to tell and they will come across some spooky scenes with skeletons and witches dotting the landscape.
General Admission: $10.00 plus fees, children under 12: $5.00 plus fees. There will be three tours leaving at 6:40pm, 7:05pm, and 7:25pm – each tour will be limited to 30 people each. Tickets go on sale October 1, 2021. All proceeds benefit the Norwich Historical Society.
