Interventions is launching two important books by the New Zealand writer Marilyn Garson: 'Still Lives' and 'Jewish not Zionist'.Marilyn Garson worked with Palestinians in Gaza 2011-2015. Her first book tells the story of four years, two wars, and the most unlikely social enterprise. She returned to New Zealand planning to live as a member of the Jewish community, settle down, and speak about the human rights of Palestinians. As she recounts in her second book it didn’t turn out that way. Excluded from her synagogue for her Palestine advocacy, Marilyn co-founded independent minyan Ranu! Garson is the co-founder of Alternative Jewish Voices of Aotearoa, and a steering committee member of Global Jews for Palestine.
