About this Event
Join us at the Colbourne Institute for Inclusive Leadership for an Anti-Racism in the Classroom workshop! This in-person 2-day event is focused on helping educators develop knowledge and skills to shift practices and increase inclusion in the classroom. Participants will be introduced to key foundational concepts of anti-racism and will get access to an anti-racism curriculum and pedagogy toolkit. This workshop is designed for educators in post-secondary institutions, but educators at all levels will benefit from this course.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify common approaches to institutionalizing anti-racism in curriculum development and teaching.
- Identify ways to respond to anti-racism in the classroom.
- Identify ways to incorporate Truth and Reconciliation Commision (TRC) Calls to Action in your pedagogical approach.
Participants will also be provided with a copy of an anti-racism toolkit that they can utilize in their work.
