เอส เอ ซี แกลเลอรี (SAC Gallery) ขอเชิญชมนิทรรศการ “anthroposphere" นิทรรศการเดี่ยว โดย ขวัญชัย ลิไชยกุล ในผลงานชุดใหม่ที่ได้แรงบันดาลใจจากภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนัง สร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานลายเส้นถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวในมุมมอง Bird's-eye view สะท้อนถึงความเป็นอยู่ของมนุษย์ผ่านเหตุการณ์ปัจจุบันและที่เกิดขึ้นในประวัติศาสตร์ ภาพกิจกรรมของเมืองในมุมกว้างที่ให้ผู้ชมได้สำรวจเรื่องราวต่างๆ ทั้งประเด็นของสังคมและความเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลก

กว่าหลายปีที่ผลงานของ ขวัญชัย ลิไชยกุล ได้เปิดมุมมองใหม่ๆ ผ่านโลกของการวาดภาพแบบ Bird's-eye view แม้ในปัจจุบันเทคโนโลยีจะทำให้เราได้เห็นเมืองจากมุมมองทางอากาศ แต่ก็ปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่าเราไม่สามารถมองเห็นมิติทางสังคมเพียงการมองผ่านเทคโนโลยี จิตรกรรมทิวทัศน์ของขวัญชัยทำให้เราสามารถเชื่อมโยงวิถีทางของทุนนิยนในปัจจุบัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการสะท้อนภาพวัฒนธรรมที่ปรับเปลี่ยนไป พื้นที่ของอุตสาหกรรม เกษตรกรรม รูปแบบทางสังคมที่มนุษย์และโลกพึ่งพิงกันอยู่เป็นโครงสร้าง แต่ก็มีอีกหลายๆ แง่มุมที่ผ่านการรับรู้ในรูปแบบของข่าวสาร เรื่องเล่า ประวัติศาสตร์ เมื่อมนุษย์ได้ขยายพื้นที่เพื่อครอบครองที่ดินสำหรับที่อยู่อาศัยและเกษตรกรรมอย่างต่อเนื่อง ดึงทรัพยากรต่างๆ มาขับเคลื่อนกิจกรรมอย่างมหาศาล ภาพวาดของขวัญชัยได้ใส่รายละเอียดสำคัญๆ เหล่านี้ สะท้อนปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการดำรงชีวิตและเมือง เกิดเป็นความเคลื่อนไหวภายในจิตรกรรมที่ทำให้เราได้เฝ้ามองเหตุการณ์ที่น่าสนใจผ่านการจัดวางสังคมขึ้นใหม่ในผลงาน

นิทรรศการ anthroposphere โดย ขวัญชัย ลิไชยกุล จึงว่าด้วยการนำเสนอโลกความจริงที่ไร้ปาฏิหาริย์หรือเรื่องราวเหนือจริงใดๆ และเป็นอีกหมุดหมายสำคัญของศิลปะที่ได้พัฒนาจากการวาดภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังให้เกิดสำนวนใหม่ๆ สอดคล้องกับกิจกรรมของมนุษย์และการหมุนไปในระบบสังคม การปะติดปะต่อเรื่องราวของผู้คน สิ่งก่อสร้าง ธรรมชาติ รวมถึงเหตุการณ์ทั้งหลายเข้าด้วยกัน แม้จะแตกต่างกันด้านเวลาและพื้นที่ แต่ทุกสิ่งล้วนชี้ให้เห็นถึงความสัมพันธ์ เชื่อมโยงอดีต ปัจจุบัน และอนาคต สุดท้ายผู้ชมเองจะเป็นตัวกลางที่เชื่อมต่อประสบการณ์ผ่านจิตรกรรมเหล่านี้เพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของระบบนิเวศที่ประวัติศาสตร์และมนุษย์ในฐานะประชากรของโลกได้บรรจบกัน

นิทรรศการ “anthroposphere" นิทรรศการเดี่ยว โดย ขวัญชัย ลิไชยกุล จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 22 เมษายน - 9 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ.2565 ณ อาคารหอศิลป์ ชั้น 1 เอส เอ ซี แกลเลอรี (SAC Gallery) เปิดบริการทุกวันอังคาร - เสาร์ เวลา 10:00 น. - 18:00 น. SAC Gallery pleased to invite you to attend “anthroposphere”, the solo exhibition by Kwanchai Lichaikul who has introduced new perspectives through the world of bird’s-eye view painting. While technology may allow modern humans the ability to peer down on the world from above, the nuances of society are often left unseen through these lenses.

Conversely, Kwanchai’s works allow humans to identify the movements of capitalism in the present day, be it through the changes in culture, areas of industry and agriculture, and the foundational co-dependent relationship between humans and the Earth. Nevertheless, varying perspectives can be found through the consumption of news, stories, and history. As humans expand their territories for the purposes of residency and farming, drawing more and more upon the Earth’s resources to fuel our industries, Kwanchai’s illustrations portray these crucial details that reflect the interaction between lifestyles and cities, creating in movements within the paintings that afford us the chance to observe relevant events through a reshuffling of society shown in his works.

The "anthroposphere" exhibition by Kwanchai Lichaikul deals with the portrayal of truth without any miracles or supernatural phenomena, and is another important milestone for an art form that is conceived from wall mural paintings, introducing new expressions that correlate to the activities of people as they make their way through the cycle of societal systems. The exhibition pieces together the stories of people, structures, nature, and current events all at once. Though differing in terms of time and space, all things are capable of demonstrating the causational strands that connect past, present, and future. Ultimately, it is the audiences themselves that will act as the medium, connecting the experiences within each painting and becoming part of the ecosystem where history and humanity - as residents of this world - finally meet.

Opening hours: Tuesday - Saturday between 10:00 - 18:00 (The gallery is closed on Mondays, Sundays, and Public Holidays) An opening Reception will be held on 22 April 2022.
