Our Antenatal courses are run by Helena, a qualified and practising, local midwife. Not many antenatal classes run locally are run by a qualified and practising midwife so this is where we are different. The benefits of having a practising midwife running your course means you get up-to-date, real and research based information. Helena will cover all the useful topics for pregnancy, birth and how to care for your new baby over the course of your sessions.
We have launched our Saturday courses in two parts - rather than one full day. We have done this to enable you to more easily digest the information on the course and to give you time during the week before your next class to reflect on your previous session and enable you to ask questions on the following session.
Running them over two consequtive Saturdays helps prevent information overload but also enables you to get to know each other and create life time friendship and support (something which is difficult on an intensive 1 day course). If time allows we also like to include some relaxation time at the end of each session.
The second session runs the following Saturday 0930-12.30 from your booking date.
Booking this course also gives you the opportunity to attend a complimentary 2hr Baby & Child First Aid course, run by Anna (Owner of Naturally Baby and Qualified Midwife) which can be attended before or after your little one arrives (baby can attend with you). This session is worth £40 (£20pp). If you would like grandparents or aunts / uncles to attend the first aid course (as they may be helping with childcare in the future) then you can book additional people onto a first aid course you choose to attend for £20pp. Please speak to us if you need help with this.
