Ashley Nail has been battling a rare and life-altering disease called Wegener's Disease. This is an autoimmune condition that causes her immune system to attack her blood vessels. In Ashley's case, it spread to her central nervous system and brain, leading to a stroke and lasting health conditions. The treatments have also caused damage to her bones, which will eventually lead to likely hip and knee replacement surgeries. In November, Ashley has the opportunity of a lifetime. She will be headed to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for a full case evaluation.
