The internet does not seem the hopeful place it once did - faceless algorithms control the songs we hear, the movies we watch and the words that we read. It does not feel safe for our children and increasingly it looks as if it might not be safe for us either; the ultra-processed internet is making us sick.
Jon Rogers, Cellardyke resident and Professor of Creative Technology at the University of Northumbria, has a vision of an internet that works for our community and nourishes us and our environment. We will explore with him whether we can make Anstruther the world’s first digital safe haven.
