Join in for our traditional Valentine Jazz Celebration featuring the Purdue University Glee Club’s Top of the Class barbershop quartet and the Visions Jazz Ensemble.The barbershop quartet will kick things off this year with a fast paced 30 minutes of classic songs performed in the style of Indiana’s own Four Freshman.
Visions Jazz Ensemble will then take the stage to present original jazz arrangements of songs from many genres that will tell the American story. These arrangements were commissioned to honor America’s 250th birthday in 2026. The will be (were) recorded during December 2025.
The variety of musical styles reflected in the song choices are sure to remind all of the importance of Americana, country, folk, spiritual, and art songs in the history of America and how music has always been an outlet for the American people to share their stories.
The band is an all-star cast of musicians associated with the Indiana University Jazz Studies program.
