It’s almost August, so it’s time for our annual tubing trip down the Blackwater River. So grab a cooler, pack a lunch and join us on a leisurely, tipsy float. The bus pulls out from Bob’s Canoes to take us to the drop off point at 11:00 so make sure that you’re there no later than 10:30 so they can get everyone checked in.A few points to remember, the trip takes a few hours so sunscreen is your friend. No glass is allowed on the river so plan accordingly for that. Float tubes are $22 apiece and cooler tubes are $12. It’s cash only so make sure you have it ready or stop by an ATM on the way there. They sell twine there but it’s always smart to have some rope with you to tie your cooler tube to your float tube so your drinks don’t float away from you.
