Rilla mills annual carnival, summer fayre and duck race. The carnival will start from Jack Daniels field at the top of the village. There is no theme so any fancy dress is welcome. Meeting in the field at 12.30 for judging at 12.45. Procession down through the village will start at 1.
The carnival will thwart lead into parsons meadow/playing field to start the summer fayre where the carnival royalty will be crowned.
There will be lots of fun and games, bar, bbq, ice creams, candy floss and stalls.
The children’s model raft race will start at 3.15. For those that have never been build a model raft that will be set off in a race down the river with prizes for race winners and for judges pick their favourite rafts.
We will then be starting the duck race at 4 where we set off hundreds and hundreds of ducks down the river. Cash prizes for the top 29 ducks. You can buy ducks for £1 in the build up to the event from any village hall committee member or on the day for £1 you’ve got to be in it to win it.
