Join us for our Annual Rivers Month Hike and Celebration. We will meet at the end of Todd Drive in Attleboro and will celebrate the beautiful Seven Mile River this year. The Seven Mile is the longest tributary to the Ten Mile and gives drinking water to the residents of Attleboro. We will hike along the river and Luther’s Reservoir, taking in the beautiful views, discussing the water system, learning about the water chestnuts remediation taking place, and will discuss Native American history in the area. Following the hike, we will meet at Pizzeria Romana in North Attleboro to enjoy dinner and good company and to celebrate our rivers. Cash is required for dinner, the hike is free. To take part in the dinner portion, please email [email protected] to reserve your spot by 6/1. No need to register for the hike. The hike will be about 2 miles with some up and down but is generally fairly easy. By coming, you agree to do so at your own risk and that Friends of the Ten Mile River Watershed are not responsible for any injury or loss suffered as a result of taking part in this activity or travel to and from.
