The Cannon Falls Education Foundation is betting you won't want to pass on the chance to win up to $1000 at their 6th Annual Poker Social. Taking place from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, participants will register at Mill Street Tavern, located at 410 Mill Street West in Cannon Falls.Participants don’t need to know anything about playing poker because they will simply visit seven downtown Cannon Falls businesses to retrieve seven cards which will make up their poker hand, enjoying special food, drink and shopping deals while at each business. Participants must return to Mill Street Tavern by 8 p.m. with all their sealed envelopes. Winning hands will receive from $50 to $1000. The $1000 top prize is sponsored by First Farmers & Merchants Bank, and participating card stops are Brewster's Bar & Grill, Cannon Falls VFW Post 4452, Cannon Valley Specialties, Chuggers Bar and Grill, Dudley’s Pizza & Sandwich Shop, Swan and Bower, and Tilion Brewing Company. Registered participants will have an extra chance to win a prize by having a special card punched at bonus stops.
