Annual George Washington Dinner
Sunday, July 14, 2024
6:00-9:00pm
Join us for a fun and elegant evening in the historic Morris-Jumel Mansion and on the grounds of the beautiful Roger Morris Park in upper Manhattan, New York City. The annual event commemorates the July 1790 dinner at the Mansion hosted by President George Washington and his wife Martha for his Cabinet, including Vice President John Adams and his wife Abigail, Thomas Jefferson, Eliza and Alexander Hamilton, and others.
This year’s dinner falls on Bastille Day, the French National Day, and in recognition of this date, and the historic connection between the U.S. and France, we will be celebrating the values of liberty, equality, brotherhood, (liberté, égalité, fraternité) that still resonate today.
The signature event is the largest fundraiser for the Morris-Jumel Mansion and provides critically needed funds for programs, collections, and stunning interiors of the Mansion that has witnessed and hosted history since 1765.
Sponsorships are available. Contact [email protected]
Tickets are $295 each, and tables of 10 can be reserved.
