Members: Just a reminder that the AGM is being held on Saturday 22 November at 1:30 pm in the Jubilee Room at Harlow Carr Gardens.
The papers for the meeting are on the last few pages of the October newsletter. It is important that as many members as possible attend as there is important business to discuss namely whether the NFG can continue to function.
If any members have any matters they wish to raise at the meeting please send details to the minutes secretary Peter Nichol in advance of the meeting.
Following the meeting, Joe Lofthouse will be giving us a guided tour at Harlow RHS Garden Harlow Carr. Joe is Team Leader for Edibles and Nursery at RHS Garden Harlow Carr and has worked there for the last 15 years. He will be starting a new role at Swinton Estate as Grounds and Garden Manger in December, Swinton estate has the largest working kitchen garden in the UK. Joe has a keen interest in growing fruit and vegetables. The tour of the kitchen garden will include all the fruit, which is grown at Harlow Carr, and Joe will also talk about fruit selection and look at different ways of growing fruit.
